Lucretia, having only exposed a small portion of the window, jabs sharply at it with the point of his short sword. There is a tinkling crash, and some of the glass shatters and falls away, revealing light coming out from inside. Lucretia and Cleo can get a glimpse of what looks like a large ball-room or similar...
Meanwhile, heeding Cleo's request for a distraction, Yvandel flies out over the top of the lions, busy casting a spell. A moment later, Yvandel blurs and splits into six copies, all flying in circles above the lions, calling and waving down at the lions.
One of the lions tenses then leaps up towards one of the Yvandel's, coming surprisingly close to snagging a flying mage out of the air. The Yvandel's blur and shimmer, interchanging positions even as they continue to flit in the air above the pair of lions.
The other lion however is not distracted by the multitude of Yvandels, attracted instead by the noise of breaking glass from around the corner.
It races around the corner to find itself faced by several people.
Lucretia turns away from the window and steps clear, the amount of vegetation still covering it means that it wouldn't be a quick escape from the lion.
As soon as he had heard the warning about the lions, Herod had started to cast, and now a sudden swirl of dust and air rises up in front of the lion. The lion, startled, backed up a little, rising up on it's back legs to bat at the column of dust that had suddenly appeared in front of it. "Get that window open!" shouts Herod, concentrating on controlling the whirlwind of dust that now pretty much obscured the lion from sight.
Stuck up on the broken bridge, Vaslin curses and starts to clamber down the vegetation, making her way towards the base of the tower, leaving Ceely still in the window and Milo on the bridge above him.
It looks pretty easy to climb down on the outside of the tower, though to get to ground level, Ceely would also need to traverse around the tower. Were she to go simply straight down, she would find herself clambering on the top of, and possibly falling into, thicker vegetation that clogs the gap between the tower and the building... She could clamber across that to the vegetation that covers the main roof of the building (a flat roof it seems). Glancing across to the broken bridge, she can just see Vaslin, disappearing out of sight as she climbs down and around the tower. Milo remains on the bridge, craning his neck in vain to see what is happening around the other side of the tower.
After several moments of frantic chopping and pulling at the vines, Cleo and Lucretia finally manage to clear a large enough opening for someone to clamber through.
Vaslin, still some 15 feet up the side of the tower and working her way down,
calls out. "What about Milo and Ceely?!!!"
Blondung glances at Merrell. "Why don't you use that wand of fire to create
a wall of fire blocking the lions from us? That will give Yvandel time to fetch
the others from the tower?"

"That kind of defeats the purpose of avoiding combat doesn't it" retorts
Blondung sardonically.
Yvandel, risking life and limb zooms down closer between the lionesses, his images flying almost in formation around him, blurring and swirling between themselves and all yelling and waving. The lioness that was being hassled by the dust devil, spots him, as Yvandel had hoped, and turns away from the blinding dust devil, leaping towards him. His heart hammers as it claws at one of his images, which pops out of existence, leaving only three other images and him. A frustrated roar from behind him makes him glance over his shoulder, and he spots another of his images winking out of sight as the second lioness leaps through an image. Soaring up and away from the pair of lionesses, Yvandel is pleased to get back out of their range, as he and his two remaining images lead the lions away.
On the far side of the building, Yvandel, seeing Milo and Ceely's distant figures picking their way around the edge of the roof, continues to try to keep the two large cats entertained. He is reasonably successful in this, and continues to swoop around in the air and away from the lions - always making sure he keeps outside of their leaping range.
Meanwhile, inside the building, the group remain gathered around the window, waiting for their companions to join them.
10 minutes later, Milo and Ceely finally disappear from Yvandel's view, climbing
down the side of the building to join the two dwarves. Giving them
a few minutes to climb down, Yvandel finally leaves the lions and
flies across the roof of the building, arriving just in time to see
them entering the window. He joins them and the party is re-united
again at last.
