Vaslin back to life! - (Flamerule 5th)

A short while later, the group making a rather large procession, lead one of the pack-ponies bearing the dwarven corpse, back towards the palace. As the group pass by Fortune Hall, a familiar figure comes running out of the doors towards them.

Vaslin, alive again, but looking pale and extremely worried, stops short a few paces away, her eyes widening. "You too!" she gasps, and you can see that her arms are likewise covered in the tattoos.

The group pause for a few minutes outside Fortune Hall for their re-union with Vaslin. Whilst talking, a grave faced Luckpriestess Aratha Sul walks out of the temple doors and approaches. She seems somewhat scorched and blackened and her hair is a little frizzed. She tries to dust herself down as she gets closer, then shakes her head as if to ward off their questions before they ask.

"I do not understand the nature of these strange symbols that have appeared on Vaslin and your arms. I am sure of one thing though, it cannot bode well."

"You can say that again!" mutters Blondung, looking thoroughly disgruntled at the whole affair.

"I just don't understand it!" exclaims Vaslin. "What happened after I... after I.. er... died." She goes red and seems uncertain about what to say. "I mean, what happened at Kheizar Dalan?!" She thrusts out her arm, with the tattoos clearly visible. "What caused these!"

Larz steps forward, holding his palms up to placate the young half-elf. "We don't know either, but we're on route to visit Lady Alustriel and King Bruenor Battlehammer - maybe they can help..."

"If anyone can, Alustriel can!" says Aratha Sul bitterly. "I tried a short while ago to perform a prayer to dispel magic on the sigils, and the spell back-fired, blasting me with lightning energy!"

Vaslin looks around at Aratha Sul, desperation in her eyes, and the Luckpriestess waves her hand wearily towards the direction of the High Palace. "Go. Go with them. It seems the fates dictate that you shall remain part of the Unknowns for a while longer..." she says. "I'll pray that one of Mystra's chosen will know what to do!"

Itching to keep moving, the group move on almost immediately, bidding farewell to Luckpriestess Aratha Sul, and Lucretia starts to explain the events of the last few days since poor Vaslin died. A spark returns to her eyes as she discovers that Torus was finally reduced to dust.

"He had a broach of regeneration embedded in his chest which was what kept him coming back!" interjects Blondung at one point. "Our friend Lucretia wears that dubious magical item now" he adds, enjoying the look of horror that passes briefly over Vaslin's face as she looks at Lucretia in a new light.

Vaslin also manages to tell a little of her time dead - relaying that it was all fading now, but that she recalled being in a barren place where there was no colour, and everything seemed transparent, before a distant voice eventually called to her and she fell herself pulled back to her body.
