From previous enquiries when looking for a job, the group are all aware that were no caravans which were actively seeking additional paid guards or the like, but that most caravan's would be happy to accept additional people travelling with them, provided that they could provision themselves, and share the various duties and responsibilities. At the caravan staging area, there are currently two caravans which are preparing to leave, and look like they will be leaving this day.

The first belongs to the Lucky Pears Trading Coster, taking a cargo of Water Clocks in 2 wagons to Triboar.

The other caravan is a fully dwarven outfit, called Battleaxe Transport. It consists of 10 dwarves, led by Gildung Orccleaver, an experienced fighter and caravan leader. Amazingly enough their planned route is actually to head all the way to Silverymoon, transporting a variety of unique crafts made in Neverwinter for sale in Silverymoon. After initial disinterest, Gildung is persuaded that the party might be a useful tag-along to his caravan.

"So, ye yung'uns gotta get t' Silv'rymun do yer?", he relents. "I reck'n I meet jest be able t' 'elp yer. But," and he holds up a finger, "whilst yer travel wi' the BattleAxe, ye stick t' me rules. Me word is law on the road, and judgin' from yer age, I can see that ye'll probably need some training. We'll be leavin' in a couple of 'ours, and 'eading to Conyberry via 'elm's 'old, where we 'ope t' stop fer the night. If yer want t' come, meet 'ere in an 'our, 'n we'll talk abo' some of the rules fer the road. Fer now, I gotta get on." He turns and heads back to readying one of the 5 wagons that make up the caravan.
